Pisa Central

Pisa Central Station is the central station of Pisa, Italy, and is the first stop for passengers in front of the Pisa-San Rossore raliway. The station is one of the main railway hubs in Tuscany. The service station route includes three long-distance routes: Pisa - Livorno - Rome route, Pisa - La Spezia - Genoa route and Pisa - Florence route. Local services are available on the Lucca-Pisa line. The route from Pisa to Vada via Collesalvetti was closed from 1992 to 2000 and is now only open to freight. The passenger terminal is large and offers many services such as domestic and international ticketing, waiting rooms, luggage storage, three bars, pizzerias, fast food restaurants, cafeterias, three newspaper distributors, tobacco shops, pharmacies and other stores. There are 16 platforms in the station, equipped with an elevator, connected by two subways. Other tracks are used to store unused cars. Since December 2008, the station has been equipped with a computer control center to control the transportation of railway traffic. Passengers and Services There are approximately 15 million passenger movements at the station, including tourists and commuters. All types of trains stop at the station, including Inter-city, Frecciargento and Frecciabianca. The main destinations are Florence, Genoa, Rome, Naples, Livorno, Lucca, La Spezia and Turin.

Ravenna ( rə-VEN-ə, Italian: [raˈvenna], also locally [raˈvɛnna] ; Romagnol: Ravèna) is the capital city of the Province of Ravenna, in the Emilia-Romagna region of Northern Italy. It was the capital city of the Western Roman Empire from 402 until that empire collapsed in 476. It then served as the capital of the Ostrogothic Kingdom until it was re-conquered in 540 by the Byzantine Empire. Afterwards, the city formed the centre of the Byzantine Exarchate of Ravenna until the invasion of the Lombards in 751, after which it became the seat of the Kingdom of the Lombards. Although it is an inland city, Ravenna is connected to the Adriatic Sea by the Candiano Canal. It is known for its well-preserved late Roman and Byzantine architecture, with eight buildings comprising the UNESCO World Heritage Site "Early Christian Monuments of Ravenna".

Pisa ( PEE-zə, Italian: [ˈpiːza] or [ˈpiːsa]) is a city and comune in Tuscany, central Italy, straddling the Arno just before it empties into the Ligurian Sea. It is the capital city of the Province of Pisa. Although Pisa is known worldwide for its leaning tower (the bell tower of the city's cathedral), the city of over 91,104 residents (around 200,000 with the metropolitan area) contains more than 20 other historic churches, several medieval palaces, and various bridges across the Arno. Much of the city's architecture was financed from its history as one of the Italian maritime republics. The city is also home of the University of Pisa, which has a history going back to the 12th century and also has the Scuola Normale Superiore di Pisa, founded by Napoleon in 1810, and its offshoot, the Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies, as the best-sanctioned Superior Graduate Schools in Italy.
