Taipei High Speed Rail Station is located in Liming Lane, Zhongzheng District, Taipei City, Citizen Avenue in the north, Beiping West Road in the east, Zhongxiao West Road in the south, and Chengde Road in the west.

Taipei High Speed Railway Station is not only one of the stations of Taiwan High Speed Railway, but also Taiwan. The railway longitudinal line, the Taipei MRT red line and the blue line transfer station are the largest transportation transshipment centers in the Greater Taipei area. The overall structure of the North High-speed Railway Station is six floors above ground and four floors underground. The first floor of the building is the lobby floor with east. There are three exits on each side of the South, North and West. The second floor of the ground is the Breeze Taipei Station, which is taken over by Breeze Square. It is a shopping mall with exquisite gourmet cuisine. The third to sixth floors of the ground are the administrative center of the Taiwan Railway and the high-speed railway. On the first floor, there is a service desk for high-speed rail related matters, Taitie Underground Street, the north side is connected to Zhongshan Underground Street and Taipei Underground Street, the south side is Eslite MRT Mall and Taipei New World Shopping Center; the second floor is two island platforms. The iron platform and two island-style high-speed rail platforms, the third and fourth floors of the underground are the Taipei MRT Blue Line and the red line island-style platform. There are 8 entrances and exits, including the Taipei Caesar Rice. Metro A8 underground food court, Station Street and the underground Taipei New World Shopping Center with links, the Taipei High Speed Rail Station can form a dense route traffic hub of exchanges with other regions.

Kaohsiung (; Mandarin Chinese: [káuɕʊ̌ŋ] , Wade–Giles: Kao¹-hsiung²; Hokkien POJ: Ko-hiông; Hakka PFS: Kô-hiùng; old names: Takao, Takow, Takau) is a coastal city in southern Taiwan. It is officially a special municipality with an area of 2,952 km2 (1,140 sq mi) stretching from the coastal urban centre to the rural Yushan Range. As of 2018, the municipality has a population of 2.77 million, making it the third most populous administrative division and second largest metropolis in Taiwan.Since founding in the 17th century, Kaohsiung has grown from a small trading village into the political and economic centre of southern Taiwan, with key industries such as manufacturing, steel-making, oil refining, freight transport and shipbuilding. It is classified as 'High Sufficiency' by GaWC, with some of the most prominent infrastructures in Taiwan. The Port of Kaohsiung is the largest and busiest harbour in Taiwan while Kaohsiung International Airport is the second busiest airport in number of passengers. The city is well-connected to other major cities by high speed and conventional rail, as well as several national freeways. It also hosts the Republic of China Navy fleet headquarters and its naval academy. More recent public works such as Pier-2 Art Center, National Kaohsiung Center for the Arts and Kaohsiung Music Center have been aimed at growing the tourism and cultural industries of the city.

Taipei (; Mandarin: [tʰǎipèi]; Hokkien POJ: Tâi-pak), officially known as Taipei City, is the capital and a special municipality of Taiwan (officially the Republic of China, "ROC"). Located in the northern part of the Island of Taiwan, Taipei City is an enclave of the municipality of New Taipei City that sits about 25 km (16 mi) southwest of the northern port city Keelung. Most of the city is located in the Taipei Basin, an ancient lakebed. The basin is bounded by the relatively narrow valleys of the Keelung and Xindian rivers, which join to form the Tamsui River along the city's western border.The city proper is home to an estimated population of 2,704,810 (2015), forming the core part of the Taipei–Keelung metropolitan area, which includes the nearby cities of New Taipei and Keelung with a population of 7,047,559, the 40th most-populous urban area in the world—roughly one-third of Taiwanese citizens live in the metro district. The name "Taipei" can refer either to the whole metropolitan area or the city proper. Taipei is the political, economic, educational, and cultural center of Taiwan and one of the major hubs in East Asia. Considered to be a global city and rated as an Alpha City by GaWC, Taipei is part of a major high-tech industrial area. Railways, high-speed rail, highways, airports, and bus lines connect Taipei with all parts of the island. The city is served by two airports – Songshan and Taoyuan. Taipei is home to various world-famous architectural or cultural landmarks, which include Taipei 101, Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall, Dalongdong Baoan Temple, Hsing Tian Kong, Lungshan Temple of Manka, National Palace Museum, Presidential Office Building, Taipei Guest House, Ximending, and several night markets dispersed throughout the city. Natural features such as Maokong, Yangmingshan, and hot springs are also well known to international visitors. In English-language news reports the name Taipei often serves as a synecdoche referring to central government of Taiwan. Due to the ambiguous political status of Taiwan internationally, the term Chinese Taipei is also frequently pressed into service as a synonym for the entire country, as when Taiwan's governmental representatives participate in international organizations or Taiwan's athletes participate in international sporting events.
