Interval Express IR train travels between major cities and secondary cities. The express trains running in the middle distance are second only to ICs. They also have the advantages of fast speed, fewer stops and frequent shifts.
The Interregio train operated by SBB (Swiss Railway Company) is a long-distance train that complements the intercity network. They operate on most of the main routes throughout Switzerland. Compared to the Intercity service, Interregio usually runs on shorter routes and stops more frequently.
Interregio trains typically include traditional push-pull rafts consisting of single or double-deck passenger cars or double-decker rail vehicles. They are second-class and first-class seats in open-plan seats. All trains have air conditioning and power outlets. The train has a bistro or restaurant cart. All trains have disabled facilities. Bicycles can be transported on all trains. But you can't reserve a seat.
