Akita Station (秋田駅 Akita-eki) is a railway station in Akita, Akita Prefecture, Japan, operated by East Japan Railway Company (JR East). Station structure * Ground station. The station building is the Hashigami station building. Akita Station East-West communication free channel in "Poporodo". The north side of the free passage is arranged in the following order: station building, Byu Plaza Akita Station, Midori Window (business hours: 5:30-22:00), traditional line ticket gate, Shinkansen ticket gate. * The bullet train ticket has four automatic ticket gates (can be moved by Suica). * For traditional routes, only the central ticket gate introduces an automatic ticket gate (not Suica compatible). * Ticket vending machines are installed at each ticket gate, and the green counter and designated seat ticket vending machines are installed only at the central entrance.
