Čičmany (German Zimmermannshau, Hungarian Csicsmán) is a folks village in Central Slovakia.
Čičmany is one of the few folk villages which remain intact in Central Europe. It represents a local vernacular style of architecture characterized by the use of dark wood and its white ornamentation in floral patterns similar to gingerbread. This is still a living tradition and such houses are drawn over again and again.
The village main attraction is its folk architecture. There are two souvenir shops vending local crafts. It is also possible to visit the inside of two of the houses.
Hike in the nearby woods.
There are two restaurants and two bars operating in Čičmany.
