Frisco

Frisco is a suburb of Dallas and part of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex.

• National Videogame Museum, 8004 North Dallas Parkway (SE corner of Dallas North Tollway and Cotton Gin Rd; inside the Frisco Discovery Center, +1 972-668-8400. Tu-Th 10AM-5PM; F Sa 10AM-8PM; Su noon-5PM. A museum about the history of video games, the video game industry, how a video game is made, and where it's heading next. A rotating selection of playable game systems are available too. $12 general admission.
• The Star in Frisco, home of the NFL's Dallas Cowboys HQ and the adjoining Ford Center a 12,000-seat indoor stadium shared by the Dallas Cowboys and Frisco Independent School District. Tours are available.
• Museum of the American Railroad, 8004 N Dallas Pkwy #400 (near the Frisco Square, +1 214-428-0101. W-Sa 10AM-5PM, Su 1-5PM. Artifacts and archival material from the railroad industry to exhibit and interpret their significance in American life and culture. There's also a model train layout. The Frisco site is under construction and access to the locomotive and rolling stock collection is limited to scheduled tours. Tickets for adults/children: walking tour $8/$4; model railroad exhibition: $8/$4; combination: $12/$6.
• Sci-Tech Discovery Center, a science and technology museum geared towards children and families.

See local school football, hang around the numerous parks, or visit the awesome Frisco Public library with an amiable staff.

• FC Dallas. The Major League Soccer team for the greater Dallas area. Plays at Toyota Stadium. FC Dallas' reserve team, North Texas SC, had played its first season in the third-level USL League One in 2019 at Toyota Stadium, but that team has since moved to Globe Life Park in Arlington.
• Frisco RoughRiders, +1 972-334-1900. A minor league baseball Team, AA Affiliate for the Texas Rangers. They play in Visit Dr Pepper Ballpark, which has been named one of the best ballparks in minor league baseball by Baseball America. There is a post-game fireworks show every Friday night that can be seen throughout most of Frisco. $7-19.
• Texas Legends, a NBA G League basketball team that plays at the Dr Pepper Arena.
• NCAA Division I Football Championship. Another major event at Toyota Stadium is the championship game of the second level of NCAA college football, Division I FCS, held on the first Saturday of January that follows January 4. (The NCAA does not sponsor a championship in its top football level, Division I FBS.) The FCS title game is scheduled to be held in Frisco through the 2024 season (i.e., January 2025).

Has a 24-screen movie theater, a Dave and Buster's, and a variety of anchors stores including Dillard's, Macy's, Barnes & Noble, Dick's Sporting Goods, JCPenney, and Nordstrom.
• Timeless Luxury Watches. Watch store that carries a large variety of brands, including some you don't see very often such as NOMOS and Grand Seiko.
