Hirtshals is an important ferry harbour in North Jutland, Denmark.
- Hirtshals Lighthouse, Fyret 2. 18 Jan-31 Dec 10AM-5PM. Built in 1862 and still in use. It is 35 meter and stands on a 27 meter mound giving a fantastic view of the surrounding countryside as well as the sea. 20 Kr, children 10 Kr.
- Nordsøen Oceanarium, Willemoesvej 2, +45 9894 4188. 9AM-5PM. Among the biggest aquariums in Europe, with a massive 22x33 metre aquarium with more than 4.5 million litres of water and 2-3,000 fish from the North Sea. There is also a big outdoor aquarium with seals and a show area, and several smaller habitat and theme tanks. 130 Kr, children 55 Kr.
