Kralupy nad Vltavou is in Central Bohemia.
Kralupy nad Vltavou is a satellite town 27 km to the north of Prague. A visit makes for an interesting break from the capital to see what life is like away from the main city. The town is divided by the Vltava (Moldau) river. The western half hosts the station and older central area and the eastern half has many high-rise apartment blocks.
The river in town is scenic.
Walk along the river.
Pubs and restaurants are much cheaper than in the city, tourist-free and convivial.
As well as being on the local Prague rail network, Kralupy is on the long distance line to Dresden and Berlin.
