Nový Jičín (; German: Neutitschein) is a town in the Moravian-Silesian Region of the Czech Republic. It has approximately 23,500 inhabitants. The city is situated on the spurs of the Carpathian Mountains about 30km from the Czech Republic's 3rd biggest city, Ostrava. The city is noted for its hatting industry.
