Muggiò is a city in the Province of Monza and Brianza in the Italian region Lombardy, located about 15km northeast of Milan. As of 2009, it had a population of 23,500 and an area of 5.5km2. It received the honorary title of city with a presidential decree on September 27, 1992. The municipality of Muggiò contains the frazione (subdivision) Taccona. Muggiò borders the following municipalities: Lissone, Desio, Monza, Nova Milanese, Cinisello Balsamo.
