The marquee site at The Citadel is available for a small number of bespoke wedding receptions each year, partly in order to retain the private feel of this much loved family home but also to allow each wedding reception to feel special and exclusive. Each reception is unique because we offer flexibility in terms of the position of the marquee, caterers, photographers, florists, and entertainment and of course, as the venue is completely private there is no pressure of time or any danger of stumbling across another happy couple on what should be a day which is exclusively yours! The marquee stands on a dedicated area to the west of The Citadel enjoying panoramic views of one of the few Grade 1 listed landscapes in the country. Guests can also enjoy wandering through the mature three acre garden with its various lawns, summer house with views to the Welsh hills and beautiful central acer glade all of which offer fantastic photographic opportunities for the bridal party. Overnight accommodation in the main house is available for the bridal party if required. The site is licenced for the sale of alcohol per event, and music and dancing are permitted until 1am. The marquee area is very spacious and can comfortably accommodate large receptions. Alternatively the site would also be wonderful for a smaller, more intimate celebration.
