Cow's Lane Designer Studio is a collaboration between several Dublin based designers, craftspeoples and artists. It is a retail space with a difference as the space is run as a co-operative with each of our 8 founding members helping to shape the direction of the business and sharing the work. Each of us operates our own craft or design business out of the shared retail outlet. In addition to our products we also sublet space to other designers and crafts people. As such Cows lane Designer Studio provides a very affordable option for anyone wishing to venture into selling their own creative endeavours. The majority of our products are produced and handcrafted or designed here. Cows Lane Designer Studio is unique in the sense that the majority of the profits go back directly to the makers and designers and we do not charge high commissions to exhibit. Instead we are eager to provide a selling place for craftspeople and designers that facilitates small, independent business and products unique to Ireland. The advantage of this to the customer is that we can keep the prices as low as possible as we are in effect selling directly to the public and so can bypass the usual high retail mark ups. There is something for everyone: Jewellery, Millinery, Fashion, knitwear, Photography and Fine Art, Sculpture, Homewares, Mens T-Shirts, Ceramics, Wood Turning, Furniture. It’s the perfect place to have a browse and be inspired by the many skills and disciplines that can be seen in the form of fused-glass pendants, pottery influenced by the Irish coast, and comic book decoupage furniture to name but a few.
