Chesa Swiss

Colombo, Sri Lanka

Colombo’s only Swiss restaurant – Chesa Swiss – was opened in 1991. The heritage restaurant, now one of the oldest in the city, is housed in an ancestral bungalow in the heart of Colombo. Throughout its 23 years, the restaurant has earned a reputation for quality – authentic Swiss and European cuisine coupled with impeccable personalised service presented in a relaxed setting. In addition to the traditional Swiss classics of fondue, raclette and rösti, the restaurant is well known for its signature imported meat dishes such as the sliced veal, rack of lamb and steaks. There is a wide selection of soups, salads, seafood and desserts as well. The Chesa Swiss wine list features a number of European wines including popular ranges from Switzerland. From the homemade breads and ice creams to perfectly cooked meats, all the dishes are prepared to each diner’s specifications. Off-menu dishes can also be created to suit a guest’s preference.
