The University Institute of Engineering and Technology Kanpur, India, founded in 1996 (earlier known as Institute of Engineering and Technology, Kanpur), is an engineering and technology institute located in Kanpur, India.
UIET is an autonomous institute of the Kanpur University (officially known as CSJM University, with its premises within the university campus. With an initial strength of 240 students, it now has 1,700 students on its rolls in the six disciplines of Engineering and other career-oriented programs like MCA, BCA, M.Sc. (Electronics), M.Sc. (Bioinformatics) and Advanced PG Diploma in Bioinformatics. It is a self-financed institute.
