First established by the Campbell clan in 1677, Islay House has since hosted prime ministers of Britain as well as Her Majesty the Queen. Now for the first time Islay House will soon be open to the public as a newly restored hotel. In addition to the mansion itself Islay House boasts magnificent gardens and some of the greatest natural beauty in Britain with sweeping views across Loch Indaal to the Kilchoman peninsula.
