The Cross Keys is a 16th Century pub, which oozes quality and tradition with its open fire, low beamed ceilings and excellent range of real ales. It has become very popular locally, and is often recommended not only for its great atmosphere but for its carefully chosen wine list, which complements the modern English menu. A real find, you will love it. Since taking the Cross keys back in April Stuart and Joe Thurston have completely transformed the pub hopefully to meet the needs for modern day customers. Not only by serving great beer for the locals which is a tradition in a village but also providing good locally sourced food for all. We have completely redecorated the bar and restaurant with new floors and furniture and refitted the toilets up to modern day requirements. We have now got a beautiful family garden with seating for over 50 people surrounded by lovely plants. The coffee bar is open now from 9.00am serving fresh coffee and tea with Stuart's wife Margaret's home made cakes which is turning out to be a real hit with locals and visitors. Since the refit and changes we are pleased to say the response has been amazing for which we thank everyone for the support. We will continue to improve all areas where possible to keep this lovely local a great pub and dining experience.
