While they do serve tea, coming here for a cup is probably a bad idea. Nobody knows how this eatery got its odd name, but every local and every traveller agree that Dom Chaya is the best place to try traditional Tatar fare for incredibly low price. The first floor is a self-service cafeteria, and the second one is more like a restaurant, yet their prices are nearly the same and very low even by Russian standard. Don't miss local meat-stuffed pastries (echpochmak, elesh – all baked right here, on the premises) and dishes based on horse meat.
