EC Avala is an international train that operates as a European intercity train on the Austrian Railway, the Hungarian Railway and the Serbian Railway. This is a traditional train connecting Belgrade to Central Europe. The train currently departs from Belgrade to Vienna, passing through Novi Sad and Budapest.

In Serbia, Avala connects the country's two largest cities (Belgrade-Novi Sad). The Avala route is hundreds of kilometers long and the average train speed is only 65 km/h.

Avala has existed as a train for more than two decades. Today, this train represents the usual route connecting Belgrade to Central Europe. Although trains in Austria and Slovakia operate on timetables (about 90%), trains in other countries, Avala (Serbia, Hungary) trains are often late. These delays can sometimes take several hours.
