The New Village (새마을호, Saemaul ho) is the most advanced railway passenger car in Korea before the opening of the Korean expressway. The general village consists of 5 to 12 cars. Compared with the infinity flower number of the next level, the new village number is more spacious and there is no station. In terms of color, the new village is dominated by green, white and yellow. On the other hand, the Xincun is concentrated on the main line. For example, the Seoul-Busan area will use the Gyeongbu line instead of the Central Line (since November 2006). Current operating range (since December 5, 2012)

The new village number is divided into first class and standard. First class has wide seating, lighting adjustments, personal reading lights, swivel and adjustable seats, footrests, backrest folders and tables. The train can carry 376 people, and the whole train is a double seat. There are also vending machines, LCD monitors, maternity rooms, electric tea stoves and other service facilities in the train, providing free wifi service. Each train has a coffee cabin with a canteen and text leisure facilities such as computers, game consoles, karaoke rooms and massage chairs.
