Manarola

The station of Manarola, which inaugurated in 1874, is a railway stop located on the Genoa-Pisa railway line , serving the town of Manarola .

The station has two tracks, the first mainly used by trains to La Spezia, the second by those to Genoa . There is a walkway in the tunnel parallelling to the track, which allows you to reach the nearby Riomaggiore station .

A second pedestrian path created outdoors at the time of the construction of the line represents a suggestive destination known as "Via dell'Amore".

The station has the following services: Ticket counter operated by the Cinque Terre National Park, automatic ticket machine, and toilet.

Modena

Introduction

The historic centre of Modena is about 12 to 20 minutes walk from Modena train station.

The fastest route is not particularly easy to find, you need to go straight through the front door from the station and then follow the main street to Viale Monte Kosica.

When you reach this main road, look up and you will see a tall chimney in the distance, a red building on the right, and a modern artwork in front, similar to a bunch of wands.

In front of you, along a pedestrian zone, you will see a statue of a horse at the bottom of the chimney. Walk along the road through the sculpture (somewhat strange, but really want to go like this) and continue straight to the city center.

Of course, you can take the 11 or 11A bus to Zodiaco, which has a stop outside the entrance to the Duomo.

Modena is also known in culinary circles for its production of balsamic vinegar.Famous Modenesi include Mary of Modena, the Queen consort of England and Scotland; operatic tenor Luciano Pavarotti and soprano Mirella Freni, born in Modena itself; Enzo Ferrari, eponymous founder of the Ferrari motor company; Catholic priest Gabriele Amorth; chef Massimo Bottura; comics artist Franco Bonvicini; the band Modena City Ramblers and singer-songwriter Francesco Guccini, who lived here for several decades.
